Bravos Estate brings together a traditional Galician stone residence and an unusually varied rural setting. The house, meadows, woodland, river and historic buildings form a single estate with a character that has developed over generations.
The landscape is as important to Bravos Estate as the house itself: open land, mature trees and woodland, together with the Río Narla and the historic mills along the riverside.
Two traditional watermills are identified on the estate plan along the Río Narla: a larger mill and a smaller mill, associated with Presa-1 and Presa-2. Together with the estate's other historic structures, they provide a tangible connection with the working history of the land.
A family account traces the estate to at least the late seventeenth century and records its development as a traditional Galician casa grande.
